Featuring Erika Bolstad, Donna Kaz & Liz Obert.About this EventDate: September 17, 2026Time: 5 - 6:30 p.m.Location: Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & AgriculturePine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts and Agriculture invites all community members to come and engage with our current artists in residence. During this event, you will be guided on a tour of the studios where the residents are experimenting, doing research, and working on projects here at the Ranch. Their mediums range from writing, music and various visual artistic mediums. The event starts promptly at 5 PM, followed by light refreshments in the classroom.This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited so registration is required.For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.About the Residents: (She/Her) – Portland, ORErika Bolstad is a journalist and documentary filmmaker in Portland, and the author of Windfall, a finalist for the Oregon Book Award. She spent a decade in Washington, D.C., covering politics and environmental issues for Climatewire and the McClatchy Washington Bureau. In 2008, she was a Pulitzer finalist for work at the Idaho Statesman. To Be Rich, her companion short documentary to Windfall, was supported by an environmental art grant from the Anonymous Was a Woman Foundation. Her current film project, Monumental, explores an American city's reckoning with its toppled monuments to westward expansion. Erika was a 2025 Bend Film Basecamp fellow, and in 2026 was in the inaugural cohort of The Bridge, a Sundance Collab development program for Oregon filmmakers. (She/Her) – Blue Point, NYDonna Kaz is a multi-genre writer, also known as the Guerrilla Girl, “Aphra Behn.” She is the author of “UN/MASKED, Memoirs of a Guerrilla Girl On Tour;” & “PUSH/PUSHBACK, 9 Steps to Make a Difference with Activism and Art.” Kaz has received the Venus Theatre’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Yoko Ono Courage Award for the Arts. (She/Her) – Santa Fe, NMLiz Obert is a lens-based artist with a BFA from the College of Santa Fe and an MFA from Washington State University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Recently, she won the 1839 Award for Photographer of the Year in Still Life and received an honorable mention for Foto Slovo.Note: By registering for this event, you have opted into receiving our email newsletters.
